Last visit to my RE

So today was my last appt with the RE. It wasn't sad but I think that is because I can literally see in the waiting room for my OB's office. So I will be making frequent visits.

On a different note the ultrasound today was great. Just a little info before I continue. My RE's ultrasound machine is very large and crisp when it comes to images but they don't have a doppler so you can't hear the heartbeat. The OB has a doppler but her ultrasound machine stinks! The screen in like a little laptop and its very grainy. So last Friday when I went I heard both heart beats. It was exciting but not as exciting as I thought it would be. Today completely different. On my RE's machine they were so clear and "baby" looking and.......I saw them moving around like crazy! OMGoodness it was 1,000X better than hearing the heartbeat. I cried and then wished DH would have been there. Man it was amazing.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

  1. I got goosebumps reading that. My OB's machines have dopplers so we heard the heartbeats at 7 weeks. But I think I agree with you that it isn't as exciting as you think it'll be. At my first ultrasound I was just SO nervous that there wouldn't be anything there so after I said "IS THERE A HEARTBEAT???" and the tech said yes, I was just like "oh thank heavens." Hearing it was just the icing on the cake. Knowing it's there is much more important to me than actually hearing it!

It is AMAZING to see your little ones move, isn't it? I remember seeing Noah move at my 10 week ultrasound and it was just so cool. There are little people in there! Your little babies!! Congrats, Mama!!

  2. Amazing what you can see with an awesome machine...My Chicago Dr. has a great machine where my regular OB has just a standard one...Makes a huge differance:) Glad you got to see your babes crystal clear...

As for that fetal monitor I was talking about I paid 106 dollars for it with tax and shipping...I listed it on Craiglist for 80 as I thought that was fair since its been used like twice but I would sell it to you for 75:) and ship it to you...You can think about it but if you not interested no biggie...I was going to have the hubs try to putting it on Ebay since it doesnt seem to be selling on Craigs List....Take Care and Happy Thanksgiving:)
