My little June Bugs @ 22 weeks

How far along? 22 Weeks!

Baby's Size? The girls are now the size of a papaya!
They are settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop

Weight Gain? 16 lbs this week.... I gained a lot in one week.

Maternity Clothes? All maternity pants. Hopefully I can go shopping for shirts this weekend.

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Belly button in or out? The top part is starting to poke out. Especially if I'm really full.

Sleep? Stinks!!!

Foods I am loving? Everything. Ice water, lots and lots of ice.

Foods I am hating? Nothing new

Best moment this week? Finding a stroller online that will work with the car seats.

Movement? Yes, I love it. DH has even been able to feel it. I saw them through my shirt yesterday.

Symptoms? stuffy nose backaches, hips and shoulder pains while sleeping. My hands and feet have been swelling.

Genders? Two girls

What I miss? Not having to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

What I'm looking forward to? My showers! They are getting closer

Weekly Wisdom: I have none, my brain has been mush this week. I have been replacing normal words with my own words. For example, the other day I was having a conversation and instead of saying perfect I said purple!!!

Milestone: Being 5 months

Emotions: Excited.

  1. That belly is still perfect as ever!

To answer your question, I'm not sure how long I'll nurse Noah. Before he was born I was planning on at least a year, but shortly after he was born I knew I would go longer. Now he's almost a year and I'm thinking I'll probably go at least 2 years, which is the WHO recommendation.

Child-led weaning is ideal for me, but I'm not sure if I want to nurse a 3 or 4 year old. I'm 100% cool with other people doing that, but at this point I don't know. BUT, it's not like you start nursing a 3 year old overnight. It happens gradually that your child grows to be that age. And if he still needs it as much as he needs it now, I'd hate to take that comfort away from him.

I have no concrete plans. And if I got pregnant that could really speed up the weaning process because of tender nipples and decreased milk supply. But again, I have no plans to try and get pregnant anytime soon (another thing that would have surprised me a year ago... I thought I would start treatments again when Noah was a year).
